Income Report

January Review: Income Report & Stats

If you’ve been following Busylazymum.co.uk you’ll know that I used to do an income report and life got a little hectic and the reports stopped. I’ve decided that I will do a monthly review instead of an income report. Each month I will list the posts written that month and include my best bits, an income review and blogging statistics.

January Review

It’s been a quite month for blogging, I have only written 5 posts but I think they’ve been good quality posts.

My most viewed post from January was my VR Here review with 198 views.

Income Report

*The following income is what has been earned this month, due to payment dates some haven’t been paid as of yet. Also some of this income will have tax deducted via PAYE.*

This month through mystery shopping I have had lots of free (after reimbursement) food shopping, a couple of hot drinks and a hair cut.

Mystery Shopping £89

Mystery Shopping Reimbursements £61

Sponsored Post £60

Total Income £149

I have not included the reimbursements in the total as this is money that I needed to spend in order to do the assignment therefore it isn’t a boost to my income. Speculating to accumulate.

March 2017 Income Report

Where on Earth did March go??? It absolutely flew by for me! It’s probably due to the amount of work I’ve been doing which as you will see has paid off financially. Probably not great for my health as I feel exhausted, but we’re getting so close to our goal of buying our first home. I also had an exam on the 30th and after feeling like I’d been on autopilot for the whole topic it was safe to say I needed a whole lotta revision!

Why I publish Income Reports?

I’m going to be publishing a monthly income report to share with you the income from my blog and side hustles because not only will it encourage me to regularly take note of how much I’m actually earning, it will keep me motivated in pushing these side hustles to boost my income even more and I will be showing what sort of realistic figures you can achieve.

Side Hustle Income

Mystery Shopping.

£48.00

Mystery Shopping companies usually have 1 payday’s per month meaning assignments worked after the cut off period will be paid in the following month.

Cashback

£29.52

Here I am combining Cashback Apps such as Checkout Smart and TopCashBack with Cashback Schemes such as cashback rewards from banks. Most of the time these companies let you choose when to cash-out so I’m happy for it to stay there until I’ve build up a decent amount. Some also have a threshold that you need to reach before it will allow you to cash out.

Surveys

£6.00

I haven’t done any surveys this month as I’ve been busy with my other side hustles.

Red Wigwam

In last month’s Income Report I told you a little about Red Wigwam and how I’d joined up and become a temporary fulfillment manager with them, 12 hours per week from home. This month I’ve also done a lot of field merchandising for a national campaign they have for around 5 hours per week. I’ve done some mystery shopping but I’ve included that in the mystery shopping income.

February 2017 Income Report

February 2017 has been a very busy month for me. I did lots of mystery shopping at the start of the month, went away for a week during half term and after signing up to a temporary recruitment agency at end of January which I’ve done a lot of work for this month which has been fantastic for my side hustle income, I’ll explain this a bit more further on.

Red Wigwam

As I said at the start of this post I signed up to a temporary recruitment agency at the end of January after reading about them being good for mystery shopping. I have done 1 mystery shop with them which I have included in the mystery shopping sections income above. I’ve also carried out 4 hours of field merchandising for them and have 5 hours per week booked for March. I am also lucky enough to live relatively close to their office and they were recruiting a temporary fulfilment manager and… I got the job! It’s brilliant! I’m working 12 hours a week from home maintaining communications and timesheets. So this has had a massive impact on my side hustle income. I’m going to call it a side hustle as it’s not my main job.

Our First Income Report

our first income report

January 2017 has been the first month in which my blog has began receiving views –Yay! We haven’t officially launched as I don’t feel I have enough contend just yet – believe me I am working on it! Anyway as we’ve just started receiving visits I feel like its the perfect time to start monitoring and providing an income report.

When I jotted up how much I’d earnt this month I couldn’t quite believe it, it’s been a busy month – My husband and our boys didn’t go back to work/school until the 9th –so it’s taken the remainder of the month to get back into half a routine! We had family visit and I sat the hardest exam of my life, so the spare time I had was spent revising instead of side hustling.

I really didn’t expect to make money on my blog for a little while yet as like I said before I’ve not officially launched yet. But I thought it couldn’t hurt in putting my details down for a few sponsored post opportunities and I got one! I was both excited and nervous! But I’ve done it, you can find it here.
